Athanatos Christian Ministry’s vision for these contests goes beyond sending money to the winners. The goal is ‘raise the bar’ among all Christian writers and encourage all Christians as they wield the pen in service to the Lord in whatever career they happen to be in, or happen to desire.
It is one of our purposes, then, to remain connected to our writers and help them connect with each other.
So, beginning this year, all winners of our 19 and up category from all years of our contest- in the past, and into the future- and winners of our poetry and novel contest will automatically be members of the ‘ACM Wordsmiths.’ Also included are the honorable mentions from these contests.
I am pleased to report that the Wordsmiths have agreed to award scholarships to high school entrants beginning with the 2011 contest. This is a great way to get started, and I am looking forward to their ongoing involvement with each other, and other up and coming writers.
